2022 challenge

Luxembourg Maker Faire, Rosport

Make it is proud to announce the 2022 LYRC challenge, which will happen during Maker Faire Luxembourg from June 25 to 26, 2022 in Rosport. Our competition will be divided into several categories, where we are looking forward to seeing your teams perform.

Unfortunately, registrations are closed. However, if you wanted to register for the category “Make It Concept Trophy”, this is still possible. Send us your registration via mail to robots@makeit.lu with your team members and coach names.

Competition categories

Make it Concept Trophy

Ages 5 and up

Do you like robots? Are you interested in showing off your design skills? Then the Make it Concept Trophy is the challenge for you!

With your team (up to 10 persons), present your solution to a central question given by our jury. You can present your ideas using cardboard models, posters, drawings, sticky notes or slideshows. Anything is allowed in this category. Even if you don’t show off a working robot, your contribution is wanted!

RobIntro/RobAdvance Challenge

Ages 7 to 10 / 14

Technical challenge based upon several robotic kits, such as the makeblock mBot, ozoBot or Dash (just to name a few). The main tasks will be based upon a main topic taking place on a playfield of a specific size.

With your team (up to 10 persons), present your robot to solve multiple challenges. See our main challenge page for more details!

FIRST Global Qualification

Ages 13 to 18

English mandatory

With your team (up to 5 persons), develop a robot based upon our kit (which you will receive free of charge to use during the competition) to collect and sort waste particles on a playfield. More informations can be found on our dedicated page.

This challenge is also a qualifying round to get access to Team Luxembourg departing for Geneva (Switzerland) to participate in the international FIRST Global Robotics Championship
